Mull is made for days outdoors, and a holiday is often better when your dog can come too. At Aros Mains, dogs are welcome by prior arrangement in Castle Cottage and Dairy Cottage. Both cottages have shoreline and woodland walks close by and provide a central base for exploring the island.

Walks and wildlife around Aros
Aros Mains is about two miles north of Salen, near the shore of the Sound of Mull. From the property you can explore the area around Aros Castle and enjoy nearby coastal and woodland walks without beginning every outing in the car.
Mull's wildlife and working countryside need care. Keep dogs under close control, avoid fields containing young livestock, prevent disturbance to wildlife and ground-nesting birds, and always remove dog waste. Read the current Scottish Outdoor Access Code guidance for dog walkers.
Booking with a dog
We accept one or two dogs by prior arrangement for a total charge of £10 per stay. When booking directly, please select the pet add-on so the charge is included. If you would like to check whether a cottage will suit your dog, tell us a little about your requirements before booking.
