Aros Mains is around two miles north of Salen, making it a practical base for days across the island. Tobermory is about 20 minutes away by car, while the west coast, Craignure and routes towards Iona can all be explored from the same peaceful setting. Return to the shore, woodland and historic Aros Castle at the end of the day.
